// We got guests here in Martin last week when Elinas parents came from Finland for a couple of days. They brought us many kinds of Finnish delicasies and other souveniers. We both got Bussi-bears, they will ease our home- and special-one sickness. They also brought Fazer-chocolate (thanks J. and parents!), salmiak and liquorice (thanks godmother!). How wonderful, we were overwhelmed!

//We spent two days together and we did a lot of things. On the first night we had dinner at Elinas parent's hotel. On thursday we had our bible studies as usual and after that the parents came over to have coffee and tiramisu. In the afternoon we went to tell the kids about Finland and the teacher invited Elinas parents to come too. Elinas mom also taught the kids a game that they really seemed to enjoy.
Torstai-iltana kävimme erään työntekijän suosituksen perusteella etsimässä läheisestä Vrutkyn alueelta luomu-lammastilan, Penzion sv. Mitron.
//On thursday evening we took the car and drove to Vrutky. Our goal was to find a restaurant that one of the Bible School colleagues had recommended. Eventually we found the place, they have a pension, a sheepfarm and the restaurant. We all had sheep for dinner and it was incredibly delicious.
//We most definitely have to go back there before leaving for Finland. It is difficult to get to know these kinds of places without recommemdations from the locals. At the farm we also saw the sheep and their shepherd. Also notice the wonderful colours of fall!
//On friday we had a day off and we started our day with breakfast at Elinas parents hotel. Then we jumped in the car and headed towards the Bojnice castle. It was rather easy to find and we explored the castle by participating on a tour that unfortunately was in Slovak but they had leaflets with English info on it. The castle was very beautiful and it was worth visit. We will be posting about Bojnice later on. After the tour we jumped back in the car and headed towards Vienna. On our way we stopped by at a small restaurant and had vyprasany syr (fried cheese), it was very tasty.
Molemmat
alueet olivat itsessään varsin viehättävän oloisia viinitupineen ja
puutarhaterasseineen, mistä päiväsaikaan olisi saanut vielä selkeämmän kuvan
kokonaisuudessaan. Seuraavan kerran sitten…
//In the evening we drove around and ended up at the Heuringen-area where we had Wiener schnitzels (pork and chicken though) at a place called Wolff. The service there was really lousy but thankfully the food was good. With our tummies full we headed towards the Grinzing-area to a restaurant called Grinzing Bräu. We had dessert there, the service was good and the desserts were (too) big and tasty! Both areas seemed very charming, maybe next time we need to go there during the daylight to get a better vision.
